The 2011 Musikmesse & Prolight & Sound kicked off on a positive note this past week, beginning on April 6 in Frankfurt Germany.
The Musikmesse show is largest gathering of musical instrument, pro-sound, and lighting manufacturers, distributors, dealers in the world shows positive signs of growth in the world’s markets as the number of exhibitors surpassed the 1,500 mark.

North and South American companies represent approximately 161 companies of this total. On the Prolight & Sound side of the show, there is an increase of 6% in the number of exhibitors with a record number of 873 exhibitors, with a growth of 58% of the companies coming from outside of Germany.
The show features over 1,000 concerts and workshops, the new Live Entertainment Award, the premiere of the German Pianist Award, and more.
