Yamaha Customer Sales & Marketing Awards
In conjunction with its recent annual Corporate Kick Off meeting, Yamaha presented its Customer Sales and Marketing (CSM) Awards.
2011 marked the first year in the history of the awards that individuals competed across all selling groups, including the Keyboard, Band & Orchestral and Pro Audio & Combo Divisions. Besides sales achievement awards, other categories such as the Spirit of Yamaha Award, and Market Maker Awards, were given out to deserving Yamaha employees.
Winners from Yamaha’s Keyboard Division in select categories included District Manager, David Lees, Piano Sales; District Manager Tom Mapson, Disklavier Sales, District Manager Mark Barrett, for Electronic Keyboard Sales, and Terry Stockton, Keyboard District Manager of the Year. Marketing Manager of the Year honors went to Jim Levesque, Disklavier Marketing.
In the Pro Audio & Combo Division, winners in select categories included District Manager Steve Hauer, Music Production Sales; Woody Jarrett, Live Sound Sales; John Scully, Guitar Sales; Brandon Zunker, Acoustic Drum Sales; Cole Eunson, Paiste Sales; Joe Kramer, District Manager of the Year; and Dennis Webster, Yamaha Guitars, Marketing Manager of the Year. Tom Griffin took the Market Maker category and Lisa Kobor won the Spirit of PAC Award.
For the Band & Orchestral Division, awards for top sales achievements went to Jonathon Breen, District Manager of the Year, Dan Brewer, Winds, Chris Manners, Strings, Vicki Volesky, Accessories and Travis Goodwin, Percussion. Ken Dattmore was named Band & Orchestral Division Marketing Manager of the Year and Jeff Peterson was awarded the Music Maker Award for his involvement in the development of the Best in NAMM Show 2011 YSS-82Z soprano sax. Receiving the Spirit Award was Sr. Customer Service Associate was Nan Tanker.
Don Smith was recognized by Yamaha’s Customer Financial Services Dept for outstanding support to their department. Don was unable to attend the meeting in person due to the impending birth of his first child, but was able to appear via video link.
