2012 Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame Inductees
The Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame will induct four percussion artists in Austin, Texas during the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC), held from October 31-November 3, 2012. The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, honoring the four newest members, will be held Thursday, November 1, 2012 before the PASIC Thursday Evening Concert at the Austin Convention Center.
The Class of 2012, featuring four important figures who have shaped the percussion world through their innovations, performances and scholarly work, includes:
John Bergamo, Hal Blaine, David Garibaldi, and Gordon Stout.
The Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame was established in 1972 to recognize the contributions of the most highly regarded leaders in percussion performance, education, research, scholarship, administration, composition and the industry. Inductees demonstrate the highest ideals and professional integrity to their profession to bring about significant events, substantive improvements in the world of percussion, and the betterment of the profession through exemplary services or acts.
