Avid Trains Hal Leonard Reps

June 19, 2012

Since January of 2010, Hal Leonard Corporation has distributed Avid®’s products, including Pro Tools® digital audio workstations, Sibelius® music composition software, M-Audio® Axiom® Pro USB MIDI keyboard controllers, and more. This week, members of the Hal Leonard tech sales team became power-users, thanks to a visit from Avid staff.

Avid application specialist Greg “Stryke” Chin and regional sales manager TJ Martin visited the Hal Leonard Milwaukee headquarters to provide in-depth product training on the just-released Pro Tools 10, and new Pro Tools Express and MBox bundles. They also shared tips on how retailers can position these products to help their customers better understand the advantage of starting with the Avid family of audio solutions.

Hal Leonard senior vice president Doug Lady comments, “Avid has made it easier and more affordable than ever before for anyone with a computer and an interest in music to capture, edit and share their creative output. Music dealers realize that they need to view everyone who walks through their door as a potential customer for recording gear. Having a staff of manufacturer-trained, in-house experts who know the ins and outs of these products – and can answer questions and provide advice – is reassuring for our dealers, and helps them take advantage of this profitable product area.”

Hal Leonard is rolling Avid sales incentives this month, and a brand new point-of-sale display will be featured at the Summer NAMM show.
