Hal Leonard to Distribute Ableton

June 28, 2012

Hal Leonard Corporation has reached a deal with Ableton Inc. to distribute the company’s popular recording software to music retailers across the country.

Headquartered in Berlin with a US office in Pasadena, Calif., Ableton was founded in 1999 to make software for creating, producing, and performing music. Live made its debut in 2001, and now – in its eighth edition – has several hundred thousand devout users worldwide. This software’s nonlinear flow, alongside powerful real-time editing and flexible performance options, make it a unique studio tool and a favorite with live performers.

Hal Leonard senior sales & marketing manager Brad Smith says, “Ableton is a clear leader in the field. Their software is intuitive and musician-friendly – so it’s ideal for folks just getting into recording – but it’s also robust enough that Ableton Suite serves as a complete studio in a box. Their titles are a superb addition to our arsenal of products.”
