Summer NAMM Recap

July 19, 2012

“The dealers and exhibitors who came to Summer NAMM were laser focused on success,” notes NAMM president and CEO Joe Lamond. “The NAMM U courses were full, the Top 100 Dealer Awards event was a ‘who’s who’ in music retailing, and the vendor community came ready to help dealers plan the fall and holiday selling season.

“Next year, we’ll build on this platform and move into the new state of the art Music City Center. Scheduled to open just prior to Summer NAMM, this venue will be an outstanding place for our members to show new products, plan out the rest of the year’s purchases and learn and network with their friends and peers”

Official numbers indicate that Summer NAMM saw more overall business than last year – the number of retail buyers increased 20 percent compared to 2011.
Additionally, there was a reported 9 percent increase in exhibitors from 2011 to 2012, with a total of 372 exhibiting suppliers.
