And the ‘Best Presidential Theme Song’ Is…

November 1, 2012

It would appear Bill Clinton’s brand is as strong as ever, with his 1992 campaign’s song winning our informal poll by a landslide.

Other participants in this week’s highly (un)scientific poll dug well in the past for some true golden oldies. The results, in order, are:

  1. “Don’t Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow)” – Fleetwood Mac. Bill Clinton, 1992
  2. “Born in the USA” – Bruce Springsteen. Ronald Reagan, 1994 (unofficial, unendorsed by artist)
  3. “Happy Days Are Here Again” – Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 1932
  4. “Yes We Can” – Will.I.Am. Barack Obama, 2008 (unofficial)
  5. “Tippecanoe and Tyler, Too” – William Henry Harrison, 1840
