Musician’s Friend Relocating to California

On Thursday, April 28, 2011 Guitar Center, Inc. announced plans to relocate the operations of its Musician’s Friend, Inc. business that are currently located in Medford, Oregon, to Southern California early in 2012. Musician’s Friend will continue to operate in Medford through the end of 2011.

GC’s ‘Your Next Record with Keith Urban’ Winner Announced

Guitar Center has announced Brandon Green as the winner of Guitar Center’s Your Next Record with Keith Urban. After an eight-week period of peer judging through OurStage.com, the top 100 unsigned artists from a group of over 6,000 submissions were chosen in a process designed to send one talented unsigned artist into the studio with Grammy Award-winner Keith Urban and producer Dann Huff. Urban hand-selected the winner with his creative team.
GC to Open Louisville Location

On January 27th Guitar Center will open its newest retail location at 4600 Shelbyville Road in Loiusville, Ky.
The 17,500-square-foot facility will also feature GC Studios, the retailer’s first embedded lesson and rehearsal facility.
