Guild Guitars introduced 10 new Eseries acoustic guitars featuring factory-installed pickup systems. The U.S.-made instruments are equipped with L.R. Baggs Element VTC Pickup Systems designed to reproduce acoustic sound when amplified or recorded. Volume and Tone controls for the Element VTC are concealed underneath the edge of the soundhole. The system includes an adjustable compressor to reduce boominess and feedback. The launch expands the company’s lineup with electrified versions of existing acoustic models. The new Emodels include the M-20E and D-20E available in Natural and Vintage Sunburst finishes. The D-40E and F-40E are available in Standard Natural and Pacific Sunset Burst finishes. The D-50E is available in Standard Natural and Antique Burst finishes. All models are manufactured in the U.S. by Yamaha Guitar Group, Inc. The Element VTC system aims to provide faithful sound reproduction for stage and studio applications. Concealed controls maintain the aesthetic of the acoustic instruments while providing adjustable compression. This release marks the availability of these specific configurations with the factory-installed hardware.
